Our purpose is to study language characteristics in children’s stories and language testing to look for patterns that may be potential risk factors for communication disorders in children that speak more than one language. We are also wanting to compare the language speaking skills of English speaking only and bilingual children to see if there are differences in language skills. There are no norms for language development in children that speak Spanish and English. Results of this study will help us learn more about language patterns in bilinguals and how language changes over time and with experience. Participants may come to the UT Health San Antonio campus, have a researcher visit their home, or choose a telehealth option via zoom.
