The purpose of this study is to test a new questionnaire designed to understand what factors are important to help lead an active lifestyle in persons older than 65 years.

Inclusion Criteria

    • Have a cell phone and email address

    • Able to walk outside with or without a companion, with or without a walking aid;

Exclusion Criteria

    • Participation in another treatment or intervention study within the two-week frame.
    • Presence of a serious illness like cancer or liver failure
    • Activity restrictions that limit one’s ability to engage in intense physical activity.
    • Individuals with advanced cognitive dysfunction like dementia or Alzheimer’s diseaseAnchor     

Study Design

This research study aims to to understand how older people live actively. With an increasing emphasis on prevention and health promotion, a new measure of Health Related Quality of Life has been developed specifically for and by people living independently in the community, and covering domains related to active aging and active living. This study will assess validity along with other related tests and test-retest reliability on the new meaure.
