Investigating how much erosive tooth wear and tooth sensitivity exist in the United States
Lay Description
We will first use our dental scanner (Intra-oral scanner) to scan all the surfaces of all your teeth and later we will examine the images of each tooth to check for tooth wear. Secondly, we will examine if you have sensitivity in any of your teeth by gently blowing air on each tooth. Thirdly, we will further examine if your gum is receding down (gum recession) on any of your teeth. This study is done in four centers to cover Southwest (San Antonio), Southeast, Northeast, and West of US. The data from all centers will collected together to determine how much of these problems exist in US.
